After procrastinating for a long while, I finally plucked up the courage (and the money) to sign up for the Offensive Security Certified Professional training one month after attending Cisco Live in Melbourne.
My OSCP training is is scheduled to start on the 21st of April 2019 (I would have already started for one day when this post is published).
I bought the 90 days lab+exam for approximately AUD1625 (Converting from USD1150 plus factoring in current prevailing exchange rates) as I don’t feel that I will be able to go through the training materials and labs thoroughly in any time less than that.
I was told that the course materials provided by Offensive Security gives you enough to get started on a basic level but further research and experimentation is required on your part when attempting the labs. Hence Offensive Security’s motto: Try Harder!
I am totally looking forward to attempt OSCP but I am extremely interested to see how much of my Network Engineering experience would be applicable to penetration testing.
If you are a Network Engineer and would like to know, stay tune for further updates!
